
Friends of Bus Transit in Chevy Chase is a group of neighbors dedicated to promoting safe, efficient, and sustainable public transportation in and around the Chevy Chase area. We believe that a strong bus network is vital for reducing traffic congestion, improving air quality, and enhancing accessibility for all residents.

Our History
Friends of Bus Transit (FoBus) began as a working group within the ANC 3/4G Transportation Committee, the Bus Transit Working Group (BTWG). In 2025, this group evolved into a dedicated community advocacy organization: Friends of Bus Transit Chevy Chase.
Our mission is rooted in local action. At our urging through the Bus Transit Working Group and FoBus, ANC 3/4G has adopted numerous resolutions to enhance and preserve WMATA bus service throughout the Chevy Chase, DC, corridor, ensuring reliable transit for all residents.
